Summary
The prompt was to write a story in which characters make sacrifices in order to achieve their goals. The story feels like it is about food, drink or dwellings or at very least the relationship between Fingon and this father, but actually it about sacrifice or one could say self-denial in the service of a principle or what some like-minded people might view as a greater good.
