Unrestrained

It starts with a casual, offhanded comment, just over 5 months into their relationship, when Dani wakes up one morning wedged awkwardly beneath one of the restraint straps and hopelessly tangled in the sheets. She laughs as she extricates herself from the makeshift prison, waking Malcolm from his fitful sleep. He notices her predicament and immediately moves to help, apologizing for putting her in such an uncomfortable situation, but she just turns her thousand-watt smile on him and pauses in her untangling to lean over and brush her lips against his.“We should try this without the restraints one day,” she murmurs, lips still pressed lightly against his. Then she continues in her endeavour to unravel herself, finally getting to her feet and padding to the bathroom to get ready for the day, Malcolm watching her go with a fond smile that’s laced with a hint of uncertainty.
