Twelve Days

“Surely you aren’t going to fault me for purchasing gifts to show my appreciation, are you? Tis the season, after all.” “I guess I should be happy you didn’t buy us all pear trees...or an entire grove.”“Would you rather have a tree?”The seriousness with which his partner asked the question didn’t escape Haru. He leveled Daisuke with a stern stare, and put emphasis behind his statement as he reassured tersely, “This is more than enough.”“If you say so,” Daisuke offered coolly. There was a cunning glint to the steel-blue eyes peering up at Haru from over the rim of dark sunglasses.“Kambe…” Haru drawled out his partner’s name, trying to make it sound like a warning. “I mean it.”“Hn.” The 12 Days of Christmas, Kambe style.
