Gertrude hadn't quite known what to expect when she sent Michael into the Distortion. Perhaps, she suspected that he would become the Distortion, that the Distortion would become him.In which case, she would only be half right.The Distortion became Michael, yet Michael never became the Distortion.Now, Michael Shelley is stuck, still working back at the archives, all too aware of his other self, causing fear and pain wherever it goes, a piece of himself that he may never get back.----------This isn't completed but I decided I didn't like it much, so I'm rewriting it (or that was the plan, I've kind of ended up changing everything) so you should probably check my other story "One and the same" for that.
