Summary
This story was originally written for the Machine of Death 2 anthology, but unfortunately didn't make the cut. As the Machine of Death concept is integral to the story, that pretty much makes this a fanwork of that universe now, though it should be noted that Captain Ramos, Mr. Simms, and the rest of the characters and non-MoD-related setting are mine.
It's a bit silly, more than a little steampunk, and hopefully fun. If the name Captain Ramos sounds at all familiar to you, it's because she's appeared in one of the 15 minute ficlets I've done: here.
