Summary
Pressing the button on her radio, Tim shouts, “Seven-Adam-19, officer down. We need cover! I need an ambulance!” He drops the radio, pressing on her side, “Lucy, stay with me.” The wound is on her left side, right where her shoulder meets her chest, the exposed area where there isn’t any vest cover. It’s a damn lucky shot. He counts her breaths. Presses on the hole on her side. Lucy looks up at him, her dark eyes tracking him, but no words coming out of her mouth. It reminds him of when he pulled her from the barrel; how he poured life back into her then, and now he’s trying to hold it in.
