Summary
Their first date is as close to perfect as it comes, especially considering how Tony spent most of the time before it terrified it would be a disaster. It was almost like any other night between them, except Rhodey held his hand on the sidewalk and on top of the table, and then he kissed him in front of the door at the end of the date. That’s where it becomes a little awkward. Not the kiss, though. The kiss was all kinds of wonderful and spectacular and the fireworks Tony’s been hearing about for so long. But it’s awkward when they fully realize that the date is over, but they’re returning to the same apartment. They hover in the entryway for a moment, eyes flitting between each other and anywhere else. “So do you wanna watch a movie?” Tony finally asks, and Rhodey’s laughter makes him laugh, too.
