Summary
Akaashi had never been fully human. They didn’t remember being born, or being raised, or being learned. His only knowledge of life came from his books and his maps, the ones that floated over the river on waves of destruction (48 BCE was a very interesting year for them). He remembered being known, however, for centuries, by many different titles and honorifics and names.
Their favorite, by far, was Akaashi.
A name given to him by someone that he had loved in every one of their brief human lives, someone he had found time and time again, someone he waited for on the other side, the underworld, the afterlife, Yomi-no-kuni.
This time, he was called Bokuto Koutarou.
