Summary
He hears the teacher point out some things for him to focus on. Like the concrete under his hands, or the cool breeze, or the wall behind his back. The teacher tells him to breathe and Tommy resists the urge to tell him ‘I’m fucking trying’ but he complies and little by little, his breathing slows. The teacher tells him it’s okay, that these things happen. But he doesn’t know.
He doesn’t know how badly Tommy’s world has just been fucked up.
