Summary
Vespa didn’t usually do festivals. More often than not, they took place somewhere outside her comfortable semi-cursed swamp. They were also usually crawling with the hoards of people she dedicated her life to avoiding.
On top of minor inconveniences, a party didn’t make her any less wanted for witchcraft, or as Vespa liked to call it, being a good doctor. However, her ability to get rid of a headache didn’t exactly translate to getting rid of her poorly drawn wanted posters, meaning the safest places tended to be the ones with the sparsest crowds.
So when an unfortunately stunning thief stumbled into her clinic with a stab wound, a wandering eye, and an invitation for the harvest festival, Vespa knew what her answer should have been.
That was not the answer that came out of her mouth.
This can be read either as a standalone or as a sequel to the first one in the series!
