Echoes

Something about her just keeps dragging his attention back - it’s something deeply familiar that he can’t place, even beyond seeing her around. Sure his dreams can be pretty wild, but his future seems pretty straightforward - he's on the track team to pay for his English degree, he can use his dreams as inspiration for his writing, someday his band will top the charts. The sky's the limit and his optimism knows no bounds. Then the First Star throws a wrench into things and everything falls to pieces. Funny how that works.
