Forty two painful seconds of waiting more and he would be reassured. He just had to check to make sure. Nothing more.Because nothing ever changed for years. When change came, Sam never handled it well. He tended to block everyone out. Often he threw hurtful words, harsh threats, and rage to the people of change. Although he lived to regret it, it was better for him and for others not to see him like this.When the lava cleared, Sam was greeted by an empty cell.
