Finding His One

The walk to the community center was long and quiet. They did have a business van but Blitzo was very confident that if he did bond with a familiar today he’d be riding his animal partner back home. His powers had manifested when he was a child but his father never allowed him to try and find a familiar. The older man was adamant about his only son following in his footsteps and was wholly uncaring to the fact that his son was magically inclined. Being forced to spend years of his life hiding his gift instead of honing his craft was a large reason as to why many of his spells tended to not work the way they were supposed to. Oh, they got the job done each and every time, but it was more of a stroke of luck instead of magical brilliance.
