Summary
This is an extension to the last Inej chapter in the end of Crooked Kingdom. Inej walks across the rooftops of Ketterdam to let the events of the day sink in when she finally realizes that she is about to reach the Slat. She can't resist the pull of her old home and ends up in front of Kaz's window to risk a stealthy look at him. But trying to peer through the glass, she finds it left open...
I really love the original ending of the Six of Crows Series but I couldn't help picturing what might have happened after that morning in the harbor and how this relationship would work out. When I came up with this idea, I just had to write it down and I absolutely enjoyed spending some extra time with Kaz and Inej. I hope you enjoy reading as well.
The second chapter tells basically the same story from Kaz's point of view.
