Summary
He’s sure that in a different time, a different space. Under different circumstances, maybe, there is a happy ending here. But this does not seem to be that universe. Maybe if Jotaro had just found the teen a year ago, when he was close by. See the thing is, he had been in Minnesota the year prior, and he knew that something was off when he walked down the eerily quiet neighborhood. There was something that had unsettled him one day on his trip. It took a lot to bring those feelings to the surface nowadays. 1989 has left its marks, and Jotaro had seen some shit, both back then and many times after. The life of a stand user was seldom easy. But, still… In the middle of an empty sidewalk he had paused, and almost wanted to touch the star birthmark on his neck. Jotaro’s instincts were rarely wrong. But sometimes, fate had things planned that no one could account for. After a quick payphone call to his wife, and then to his grandfather, Jotaro let his hypervilange settle down. In America, all seemed fine at the moment. Nothing he could really do. So, he ignored any lingering doubt and went on with his day. Well, so much for studying lake-side marine species.
