Summary
He stumbled his way to the side of the walkway, to collapse on a little bench, clenching and unclenching his fists in his lap (Heroes don’t stress grip, Hawks). He brought his sneakers up onto the bench, hugging his knees close to his chest, feeling small in a way he hadn’t for quite a long time.
What had he done wrong?
He wasn’t quite sure whether it was the noise or the low buzz of the cheap overhead lights, or the constant movement that he couldn’t stop keeping track of, but he felt a dull throb begin to pulse directly behind his eyes. His breathing became quick and sharp, and he buried his head in his knees, clenching his teeth as he desperately tried to fend off the migraine that was quickly building. He unfurled his wings, wrapping them around himself in a futile attempt at self-comfort, but they blocked out the movement and dulled the sound. He couldn’t decide whether or not it had been the best decision, however, as his mind, always moving too quick, immediately hyper fixated on his next problem.
Touya had left him.
