Summary

But before he could finish the thought, before he could even step forward, Kusugami pulled back the hand that held the forceps, and with a wet, slimy sound, from somewhere in the depths of Takeru’s throat, came something small, round, and softly glowing. Something with a dark center, something the size of a marble. Something that trailed mucus across Takeru’s stretched lips. Takeru crossed his eyes to look at it, and made a small, almost appraising sound.
