What If I'm Far From Home?

Dawn was beautiful. The minutes before the sun began to rise - when the inky black night sky began to break apart at the seams and deep blue hues started to leak in, when fog frost began to form around his boots, when the snowy mountain peak became obscured to the world beneath the clouds - were beautiful. Scott watched in relative silence as the blues lightened and a small, distant orb began to creep up from the horizon. He chewed on a piece of bread slowly, allowing the sun’s weak rays to permeate through his armour and his furs. He was unsurprised when they didn’t warm him, but he appreciated the view all the same.
