Aizawa Rises

It had been a long ways coming. All for One was too powerful and Midoriya still had to use his quirk (blackwhip) to prevent his other quirk (the physical strength and power of One for All) from destroying himself. The adults in his life had failed him, mainly AllMight for giving him a quirk that broke his bones until they couldn’t be mended anymore. His intentions may have been noble but AllMight had provided little useful instruction or guidance for how to wield such an unwieldy power. It was an irresponsible choice in the beginning but especially at the end, as Midoriya realized while he lay dying. Midoriya made his decision then--though he’d been pondering it for some time. The next successor had to be someone responsible--someone who already could stand up to Shigaraki and All for One--someone with a quirk that could counteract the effects of One for All--someone cool-headed under pressure--someone Midoriya trusted.
