How This All Ends

Something in him is electrified — and he feels it die (Knockout wouldn’t kill any part of him like this, out of sheer carelessness.) — and — NO! His jaw refuses to move and his tongue is hitting the back of his throat but there is no resulting gag, simply saliva tickling his throat and pooling — NO! A lazar begins to buzz on his chassis, and he feels the start of a saw at his wrist, and there is a drill above his optic which is frozen gazing upward — NO! Nothing comes from his vocalizers and he finds this to be the first time he’s realized how much he wants to use his voice, truly use it, and set himself free. NO! NO! NO!
