Summary
Ray was honestly starting to get worried. He was her dad, he was supposed to know how to calm her down, he was supposed to be able to take care of her and be a good parent. If Rose was there she’d tell him he was a great dad and sometimes babies are just upset for some random reason. But Rose wasn’t there and Ray was tired and doubting himself. She just always seemed to have a magical way of communicating with Julie and that way was music. Julie would be crying and then Rose would start singing and Julie would look up at her with big, curious eyes and suddenly everything would be right in the world again. His daughter was going to be a musician, Ray could already tell.Which brought him to his next problem, Ray couldn’t sing. Maybe he could sing enough to make Rose smile, but he couldn’t sing in the way she did, in the way Julie wanted. She was right to ask for her mom, she really could make everything better.
