Fluttering Heart, Growing Moss

Some would say that the words on his ribs were quite ominous, even hostile. Mama told him how free-spirited his soulmate must be to say those words so easily to a stranger.Throughout all of Jimin’s life, it was a mantra at the back of his head, reminding him to keep on moving forward, even as his village burned like a star, the roaring wheels of the carriage and the galloping horses stifling his sobs.  “Nevermind,” the stranger hisses, a rasping baritone that conflicts with the soft features Jimin belatedly finds in the delicate slope of his cheeks, beautiful lips stretched in fury at the same words imprinted on Jimin’s flesh. (Marks form in correspondence to the person's handwriting, and Jimin thinks that the blob he has is a clear sign that his soulmate must be an idiot)
