“Are you ready?” Vance asked Gordon as DOG carefully wrapped a belt around her seat. She gently adjusted her makeshift helmet. Her eyes nervously stared into Gordon as he nodded. Looking around the claustrophobic space ship, she couldn’t help but feel uneasy. “I’m not sure what we’ll see up there.” Gordon’s hands slowly signed a reassurance to her. He then turned, staring right ahead. “You’ve never flown one of these before, have you?” Alyx questioned playfully as she watched D0G position himself closer to the controls. DOG responded with a mechanical whine. Letting out a soft laugh, Alyx listened as Kliener began counting down. “Launching in five…four…three…two…one.”
