Summary
Very AU story starting from the point that Tess leaves for Antar, and DOESN'T return to Earth. Instead she's betrayed by the new regime, and her infant son is smuggled out of the palace, sent to live on Earth with a cadre of bodyguards. The tale begins as a teenage Zan Junior, whom they call Zane, discovers his guardian has been mysteriously murdered by an alien force. This sends he and his bodyguards on the run.
