prologue

"Anyway, the point is, things were going great. Public opinion on Ladybug wasn’t exactly the greatest, and she was a little nervous about turning in her portfolio. But aside from that? Life was golden, life was good. And then…then Marinette got caught eating aphids between classes. And everything, very promptly, went to shit. When looking at things to come, it certainly wasn't the worst thing to happen, but it definitely seemed to be the catalyst.". . .The early days of Ladybug are ones which she'll later book back on fondly. Before Paris got caught in a power play between the infamous Agreste Family, when all she had to worry about was eating bugs and college applications. But nothing is as it seems in Paris. And when the world's slipping out from underneath her, Marinette's always got a sparkly yoyo and allies in unexpected places to help her find her footing. That and a bag of bugs to munch on in the middle of stakeouts.
