Reacquainted

Although their conversation had been superficial at first, Tiffany enjoyed his company. It was as if they were two old friends catching up rather than strangers getting to know each other. She noted how he leaned forward each time she spoke as if to hang onto her every word, and Tiffany appreciated how attentive he was. She couldn’t remember the last time someone listened to her so intently nor did she realize how badly she needed someone to do so until now.
