Summary
Then, when Ranboo's shouts grow louder and the rush of wind moves faster, something slams against his side and grabs him from the middle.
His eyes fly open just in time to see a figure carrying him in his arms. Tubbo can't see much except a red collar, a black mask around determined eyes and blonde, dishevelled hair. White wings beat from behind them, and Tubbo realises they look so much bigger up-close. Close, so close he could probably reach out and touch them. It's embarrassing, because, in his mind-addled state, he almost thinks it's an angel.
The figure flies to the ground, where Ranboo stands, and gently lets Tubbo go. It takes a moment for Tubbo to realise who it is.
"Bird Boy," he whispers. He wobbles on his feet, and Ranboo hastens to hold him up.
Bird Boy wrinkles his nose at the name. "It's Avian."
or, Tubbo's always thought his values as black and white, until he meets a morally-grey vigilante who saves him more than his heroes ever did.
