Sleepover in my room (when you're feeling better)

Alex hears Willie shuffling back into the kitchen just as he’s drying off the last fork. Willie tucks themselves into Alex’s side, arms snaking around Alex’s waist. “I just came to say good night,” Willie says quietly. Alex drops the fork into the drawer and pushes it closed, puts the towel down, and places his arm around Willie’s shoulders. Willie sighs. “Also I think I might sleep in my room tonight. I think I need some space.” Alex opens his mouth to respond but Willie continues before he can. “Not from you, just in general.”“Okay,” Alex finally says. He wasn’t worried about that, he just wanted to check up on them, but he’s glad about the reassurance anyways.
