Strength of the Sword Lily

"It looks like her fear was warranted after all. She really has been poisoned by an encounter that she'd had a month ago, though not as the result of an injury, and certainly not one inflicted by the hollow she'd faced. The perpetrator is none other than the item of her affection, the boy who'd rescued her in debt and held a warm hand out to her, whose eyes are soft like a gentle sunrise yet sharp like the blade he wields. She has an infection, one that carries a name tied to vague and bitter memories of loss and guilt, gratitude and care and conflicting emotions - something inherently negative, yet the only reason she can really say she's alive today. Another petal sneaks past her lips, red and velvety, and flutters to the ground. She stares at it.Karin thinks she might have hanahaki."
