Drawing the Map

Getou Suguru officially goes AWOL two days after his latest mission in some backwater little town should’ve ended. Upon a visit from officials, the town seems to be in good enough condition—all residents accounted for (and if a couple of them seem overly skittish, fearful to the point of being subservient as they show the officials around, then nobody says anything), for the exception of two girls whom nobody seems to be torn up about, but who everyone seems to fear mentioning.Their interrogations don’t get them very far, but they get them far enough to understand the following: Getou Suguru has kidnapped two children in the line of duty, and then dropped off the face of the Earth.
