Summary

After Hank destroyed Project Nexus, the world falls with the project. What you—the highest power—saw, however, is every single file in the program getting corrupted to the point where they cannot be restored. Something that is only seen in your worst nightmares.

Despite that, however, Hank somehow survived the whole ordeal uncorrupted. What do you do then?

Your duty is to preserve this program. You are the Maker, after all. And so, you decided to keep Hank, even though you are angry at him for corrupting the entire program the Higher Powers now must fix.

You didn’t expect to learn that Hank is suicidal, end up becoming his confidant, and accidentally dragging the other Higher Powers to your shenanigans among other things when you signed up for this.

This story is based on a theory I have where the world of MadCom takes place in a computer program and the gods are the users. It’s just a worldbuilding block in this story, however.
