fWhip and Joel first meet over Jimmy’s unconscious body. The merling had spent too long out of water and collapsed in the middle of the street, fWhip correctly identifying the problem by dumping half a bottle of water on his dumb blond head and reviving him enough to confirm his suspicions. The stranger was a merling in desperate need of a swim, so reassuring the (human, unknowing) passersby that he'd be fine, that fWhip was a doctor (witch doctor, and a bad one at that, but not technically a lie), fWhip pulled the vaguely conscious man to his feet and half carried him to his car, a beauty of a machine with a purring engine and leather seats, and awkwardly shoved the merling onto the backseat, only belatedly recognizing him as Jimmy from down the road when Sausage on video chat asked why he'd murdered their childhood neighbour and left his body slumped over in the back. Or, fWhip witnesses a merling pass out from lack of water, dumps him in the nearest bathtub, and meets his werewolf friend there to take him home.
