Summary
tommy visits a little bit after dream is locked up, loudly joking as though if he speaks louder, it will stop you from realizing how scared he is. you want to comfort him. you don't though, because it is not your job. he signs a contract -no weapons, no armor, no life insurance- and you lead him in. thirty minutes go by, he asks to comes out. you let him, and he's close to tears and gripping his arms so hard that blood spouts from under his nail.you take his hands off his arms. it wasn't your job to do that, in fact, it probably goes against your job, but you do it anyway. this, in retrospect, could possibly be pinpointed as the downfall. (how everything gets worse, and it might possibly be your fault.)
