Summary
Steve Harrington was perfect. Sure, he was dorky and made a fool of himself sometimes, but he was perfect when it counted. His hair was never out of place, and he was barely ever late for work, and he was always ready to give Dustin a ride to school or the arcade or wherever he wanted to go. He always knew what to say to cheer his friends up, always said the right thing when it mattered, and never backed down from a fight when someone he cared about was in danger. More importantly - he was never the one who needed cheering up. He was never the one who needed a ride somewhere, or reassurance that the world wasn’t ending again, or a shoulder to cry on. Steve Harrington was perfect. Which was why he was bent over his bathroom sink, staring at his dripping face in the mirror.
