Nadja has misplaced her partner.

They’d got to Beauclair together, at least, she knows that much - hard to lose even a slight little half-elf like her in the sweeping sunshine-drenched countryside - but somewhere between San Sebastian and the docks she’d turned to find Varh missing, and her crossbow tucked neatly into Nadja’s pack. Typical. It’s hardly unheard of for Varh to slip away unnoticed - it’s what she’s best at, really - but it hasn’t happened since the jail. She’d sorta hoped it wouldn’t happen again, but here they were.

Nadja already hates cities, has never gotten used to them, and the way this one has swallowed any trace of Varh is hardly doing them any favors.

Two Witchers, a mage, and a half-elf have an appointment to meet in Beauclair; what follows is a less than merry goose chase.
