It doesn’t spark Ed’s ire quite as much as it had back in St. Lucia, when Black fucking Bart had taken one look at Stede and gone on to spend two days promising the Gentleman Pirate his own fucking fleet, if he wanted it. It had only been days since they’d reunited then, and Ed was still moving gingerly, trying hard not to let on to the fact that the British had nearly had him, before Stede’s crew appeared, miraculously and foolishly, steering their stolen sloop straight at the British vessel too preoccupied with capturing Blackbeard to realize what was happening until it was far too late.
