Luca, Alberto, and Giulia are all heading in different directions. Set four years or so after the film, they're now at the point where they have to decide where life takes each of them. It's a decision everyone has to make, and for some, it's easier than for others. And if it's hard to figure out your destination, then focusing on your journey is often good enough for the present time.Giulia has the structure of her schooling and academia. Alberto takes work in Portorosso, moving around freely as the flow takes him. And Luca is torn between the two paths. More than that, he knows he cannot have both: at the school in Genova, he'll miss out on all the time he could spend with Alberto; if he stays in Portorosso, he risks closing himself off to learning about the world. How much can Luca fairly ask for? And how much will he end up with?The heart can often want more than it can handle. And growing the skill to nuture it is the trick to life itself.
