Summary
Amid the mental chaos in which Sophie lives, she finds herself with no way out when her family sends her to a nursing home for people with psychological problems in the countryside. The nursing home aims to help young people not have their problems worsened due to a critical financial situation or lack of family support, thus welcoming young people from all over the country who are looking for mental health and a place to call home. So in less than seven days, Black Oak and its patient guests become Sophie's new home.Living with the only two people who live there no longer seems like the best thing in the world, then, the director, Mr. Salvatore, gives her the difficult task of receiving and accommodating incoming patient guests. In the midst of her quest to understand her place in the world, Sophie finds herself learning from the uniqueness of human beings, their difficulties, limitations, the way in which their disorders manifest and disturb theire daily routine and even the coexistence with other guest patients. But it's the arrival of a young man that makes her stay in Black Oak totally different from what the girl expected.
