It's not often that Cyrus gets approached by old detectives or A.D.A.s outside of a case. It's even less often that he finds said A.D.A. or detective chatting with his boyfriend with a smile after Cyrus' shift has ended.Curiosity sits first fiddle in his brain as he watches Mike chat with Connie and a blonde woman with a thirty-yard-icy stare and quite the set of cheekbones.Then McCoy enters the room. His gaze alights on the blonde woman and several emotions flicker across his face- confusion, nostalgia, fondness, frustration, and eventually the winner: a soft, lightly pleased smile. "Serena," he greets her, "Nice to see you back in town."---They meet up after work that Friday night. Mike's riding a bit of a high from finally securing a guilty verdict off of this week's case- a rather vindictive and violent revenge murder- and Cyrus can tell that he's ready for a light night off, even if this isn't their usual haunt.Serena greets them at the entrance, arm-in-arm with a pretty brunette rocking a leather jacket. The brunette's eyes are dark and piercing, her expression an inscurtable midpoint of calculating and amused.(Mike and Cyrus go on a double date with Serena and Nina.)
