“I’ve always been jealous of people in movies.” Hyunjin pulled at the string of the white hoodie he was wearing under the coat. “They’re never satisfied with their lives, but I would kill to have the things they do. Like, they all have a best friend, and they go shopping or to the movies together. They even have sleepovers!” Hyunjin grinned brightly and Jisung laughed fondly at his excitement. “I don’t know, they never seem lonely, and it makes me jealous.” He sighed. “Does that make me pathetic?”“No.” Jisung shook his head. “Not at all. Like you said, everybody gets jealous.” “And is everyone this lonely?”“I don’t know,” Jisung said finally. “I don’t know.”“Neither do I,” Hyunjin agreed and Jisung hated it. Or, Hyunjin is a figure skating prodigy, crumbling under the expectation to be perfect at a sport he no longer feels any passion for, and Jisung is a teenage hockey player desperately grasping at unreachable dreams.
