Summary
When Eddie first comes into consciousness he’s swarmed overwhelmingly with a burning sensation that spreads through his whole body. It paralyses him to the bed, makes him want to yell out for help or tear at his flesh until the pain fades and he slips into an oblivion.
He thinks he must make some sort of noise because he feels someone stir beside him, then a feather-soft hand is slipping into his - all tender and hesitant like one wrong move is all it’ll take for him to shatter into pieces.
