Merlin is at the end of his rope. He’s met his limit. He can’t take it anymore. Something is going to have to change. “The blood that is going to spill in the coming days is more than Merlin can bare. So much weight is on his shoulders. So many decisions for him and him alone to make. Who is Merlin to say when Arthur is ready to be king? There is something Merlin has authority on though, something deserved and earned. He’s only just learned he has this authority, as he weeps into his sheets.
