In Case You Dont Live

Donella was the first constant in Hugo’s life. She was his boss, his mentor, his mother. The decades after opening the Eternal Library were spent trying to make up for lost time. And they did. She was happy and he was too. For as long as he could remember she was taking care of him, even if it was in her own way.As the years passed, he began caring for her too- despite her protests. Hugo knew there was nothing he could do to possibly repay her, but staying by her side through it all was a good place to start. With him, she’d never be alone again- unless she wanted the peace and quiet. He would have given anything to have more time with her, but time seemed to be the one thing they could only lose.
