Summary

This is a translation (as close to literal as I could get) of the German anti-war song "Zogen einst fünf wilde Schwäne" (Five wild swans once flew). It is a folk song originating in East Prussia, West Prussia and the Klaipėda Region (formerly known as Memel Territory). It's style is reminiscent of "Where have all the flowers gone".The original text can be found here: https://www.lieder-archiv.de/zogen_einst_fuenf_wilde_schwaene-notenblatt_300536.html
