Born to Strange Sights

Bilbo had never thought to cross the wall between the Shire and the enchanted Elder Lands, but now he's long past the border, searching for mandrake root and mermaids and trying to catch a falling star. It's all part of a spell that will, somehow, save the Shire from a great Fell Winter.

Of all the impossible tasks he's been given, catching the star seemed the easiest until Bilbo finds a dwarf instead a smoldering chunk of space rock. A very handsome, very angry dwarf that is immensely displeased that he's fallen from his place in the heavens-- even if Bilbo is amused to find that even stars get lost sometimes.
