(The Caligula Effect 2 spoilers)Regret is a character that means the world to me and I love speculating how the bizarre journey in Redo would change TCE2's characters' lives, so here's a very self-indulgent fic about the Caligula 2 protag actually being a middle-aged detective who, at a time, could relate to her problems far too well.I'm planning to work on multiple chapters eventually, but right now I'm happy with this as a start.Tried my best to base his name, Sho Imai, on Caligula's unique quirk of giving it's characters music-based names; Sho (the instrument-inspired part, Shō is a 17-pipe mouth organ used for gagaku, which imitates the call of a phoenix – symbolizing how he lives out his early Redo days as if he was someone else entirely) whereas Imai (meaning "now, present" and "well, mine shaft, pit") is more of a nod towards his stagnation in life leading him to Redo.Far too much detail for something so minute - but I'm proud of it all the same.
