Summary
Lance has always been a bit more sensitive to things like magic and spirits. Just something he can sense, but isn't necessarily drawn to or seeks out on his own. Until he starts having dreams of a man he's never met and wondering why he spends his waking hours feeling like he's mourning someone's death. After the dreams become a daily occurence, Lance goes on (what he believes is) a wild goose chase to sate his curiosity and, hopefully, end his melancholic feelings.Short story written for Day 9 of Keithtober 2022 - Prompt: Ghost--There was no way this was just something he had dreamed up, not after all the build-up conversing with this man for several weeks. This man was real and was seeking him out. Maybe not necessarily him specifically, but his soul was looking for someone to help him.“...I have to get to the bottom of this...” Lance murmured as he wiped the sweat from his brow.
