Summary
As children, Italy and Holy Roman Empire had compatible natures, falling for each other and making a promise to get married once they were adults and the war was over. Yet at the supposed death of Holy Roman Empire, a devasted Italy was forced to move on, although he refuses to ever replace his first real love.Then he meets Germany and all those feelings associated with a potential mate resurface. Unable to know that Germany is actually an amnesiac version of Holy Rome, Italy can't allow himself to pursue the relationship for fear of betraying that past love. Germany, who has no such reasons to be wary, comes to terms with his emotions and wishes to be Italy's lover, but with this misunderstanding in their way can that ever be?
