Summary
“I thought you said your father was a star.” Durin asked, confused. “Do you know what it’s like to love someone, but to not speak of them?” Elrond replied. “Well, that’s what I was taught to do, until now.”/When another argument breaks out between Durin and his father, Elrond takes a different approach to offer help. In other words, Elrond finds the courage to speak on things he knows he should not, and opens up to Durin about Maglor and Maedhros.
