Summary
Holden Caulfield had always known his life would amount to nothing, or at least never thought it would. After hurting Phoebe and getting sent to the West Coast, he finally found a bit of hope that maybe things could look up; but no, they hadn’t. At least that’s what his parents would say. With too much pain, with no real cause, Holden found a new way to cope — one better for his liver.—This is my desperate attempt to help MYSELF cope with my chronic pain when I don’t have my usual outlets available to me. Decided to change the era a little bit (read: drastically) so this story takes place in the 1970s instead of around 1950 when I think the book ended. This was when chronic pain started getting a little more recognition — not a lot though — and of course the decade for WEED.tin from Catherine Feeny’s “Mr. Blue”
